AgMeterTM
The Bio-Chek AgMeterTM is a cost effective and accurate means of testing levels of Carbaryl on spinach. this scientifically tested technology measures the surface of the selected produce using a fluorescent sensor, and has been designed to improve field analysis through immediate crop sampling.
Between spraying and consumption, the Carbaryl level must be reduced from ~350 to ≤ 22 ppm. The AgMeterTM is useful at multiple points in the quality control process between spraying and consumption.
Carbaryl tolerance for consumption: USDA guideline: ≤ 22 ppm
AgMeterTM Technology
- The AgMeterTM measures Carbaryl in grams per cubic centimeter (mg/c2) on the surface of the spinach using a fluorescent sensor.
- Surface Carbaryl measurements have been correlated to PPM measurements through laboratory and field-trial testing.
- Software in the AgMeterTM converts the surface measurement to PPM units.
- AgMeterTM accuracy can be verified with calibration cassettes.
- Technology is covered by two issued patents (plus others pending).
- "In the field" portable pesticide detection utilizing "dry" chemistry.
- Technology designed to improve field analysis through better crop sampling.
